Welcome to Yesteryear (Wedding and Events) Hire
For your wedding and events needs
We are a family run business operating from our base on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border serving these and the surrounding Counties.
It became clear to us that, the desire to dress the wedding venue in their own personal style, led couples to spend a great deal of time and money sourcing and buying products that they then had no use for after their wedding.
We therefore set up "Yesteryear (Wedding and Events) Hire" with the objective of saving anyone planning a wedding or other event from the stress and aggravation involved in searching for the props which fit their theme and complement the venue.
Click on the drop down menu on the Inventory tab at the top of the page, have a look at our products and build a portfolio which will bring that bespoke feel to your event.
Our range of services has expanded over the years and now prop hire is just one of the ways that we can help with your wedding or event.
We have a Victoria Wedding Carriage. It was built in 1897 and has been painted and decorated with weddings in mind. This is a unique photo booth style experience, with all the Covid secure advantages of being based outdoors.

We are able to offer two quite separate motor vehicle services.
First is the provision of chauffeur driven British Classic and American Muscle Cars for weddings. Click on the picture below for more details.
Secondly, for the motoring enthusiast who enjoys the experience of driving, we have classic vehicles available for self drive hire. Click for more information.
Static Display Wedding Car
Would you like a Wedding Car for your pictures but are finding it hard to justify when you are getting married at the reception venue and do not need it for transport? Why not hire it for Static Display only?
A 3 hour hire package, in most cases, will enable the car to be on site before your guests arrive, be available for photographs after the ceremony and give you a short drive thereafter for a few moments "alone time" - something which is remarkably popular.
